MY COURSE AT FLAGLER COLLEGE, MINDFUL COMMUNICATION, LISTENING, RESPONDING, AND ADVOCATING FOR YOURSELF IS BEING HELD TUESDAYS FROM 6:30 TO 8:00 PM, MARCH 24 THROUGH APRIL 28.
Have you ever wished conversations were less about conflict and more about connection? Welcome to “Mindful Communication: Listening, Responding, and Self-Advocating.” Whether chatting with family, meeting with colleagues, or catching-up with friends or acquaintances, we can inadvertently turn these conversations into power struggles, amplified further by the echoes of politics, business, or entertainment media. But the good news is it doesn’t have to be this way!
Learn the practice of mindfully connecting and communicating with others. Transform your interactions into uplifting and genuine experiences, reducing misunderstandings and conflicts. Let’s journey together to unearth impactful conversations while embracing the art of listening, the finesse of responsive communication, and the power of self-assertiveness.
THERE ARE ONLY 7 SEATS LEFT AS OF DECEMBER 29. To register, contact Flagler College’s Lifelong Learning Program.

PAST EVENTS
THE ART OF MINDFUL COMMUNICATIONS will be held on Zoom Monday evenings 6:30 – 8:00, March 8 – April 12 (6 weeks).
COURSE DESCRIPTION In the best of times, a conversation with family members, colleagues, or friends can turn into an unintended power-struggle. Add to this situation recent events in politics, business, and entertainment media, and we are more and more finding ourselves embroiled in conflict instead of conversation. Surprisingly, many of our commonly accepted ways of talking to one another inadvertently promote conflict. This is a timely and essential course for everyone.
Among the topics included are
#1. The two most important ingredients of every conversation
#2 The most important skill for defusing a potential power-struggle
#3. The skills for ending an uncomfortable conversation.
